However, I'm under the impression it wouldn't be a widespread issue, I think I just had bad luck. The bag is great and super comfortable and easy to use. The leather did seem a little delicate and prone to scratches, though.

The one challenge was that I wanted black and the black is only available in Hobo (the larger of the two styles), but I really like that Besace has cross body . The thing is both the Besace and the Hobo hold less than they seem, probably because of the magnetic closure, which means that the two sides of the bag must be united on the leather trim. That makes the space smaller than if it didn't have the magnet. I tried the Hobo on on the same day I got the Besace and could never really stop thinking . The strap on the Bloomsbury is 43" at the longest setting. I wear it at the third longest hole which is about 40". I'm 5'6" and long waisted. Worn cross-body, it hits me at the hip, which is where I want it to be. Maybe someone with a South Beach can measure the strap for comparison. Yes, I’ll measure my strap tonight. Sep 9, 2017. #1.
