I recently purchased a Tudor Black Bay steel version in 39mm but for me it wears a little bulky. My sweet spot is usually 37.5-38mm but I also like thickness of around 10mm and lug to lug 44-45. The 36 black bay actually fit me better but the 36 dial seemed small. Maybe unpopular opinion but I actually prefer the matte lighter blue in the previous model, it made it distinctly "Tudor", and the oyster bracelet. I feel like the new black bays (36/39/41 etc) try too hard to be a Rolex datejust or oyster perpetual with the sunburst blue dial and jubilee bracelet.
